NFL Combine 2012 Results: Michael Floyd's Stock Skyrockets After Blazing 40

Michael Floyd will be a first-round draft pick in the 2012 NFL Draft—even with some of the off-the-field issues he may bring to the table.

On Sunday, Floyd had his draft status skyrocket after running a 4.42 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.

There haven’t been many wide receivers who were better than Floyd in the past two seasons in college football. He recorded 179 receptions, 2,172 yards and 21 touchdowns in 2010 and 2011. (MORE>>>)

NFL: Moss plans to make comeback

Former star wide receiver Randy Moss announced his intention to return to the NFL during a live webchat on his 35th birthday Monday.

"I just wanna go to a team and play some football," Moss announced via Ustream.tv, according to ProFootballTalk.com. "Faith, family, and football, that's my M.O., bro. Your boy be back for the upcoming season."

The former Vikings and Patriots receiver last played with the Titans in 2010 before announcing his retirement in August last year after 13 seasons and 153 touchdowns.

Moss said he had no regrets over the decision to walk away, claiming it took "guts" to call time on his career.

But he signaled he was ready for a comeback after getting his house in order away from the field. (MORE>>>)

NFL Football: Raiders sign veteran wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh

he Oakland Raiders signed wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh to a contract on Tuesday, reuniting him with his former quarterback Carson Palmer.

Palmer and Houshmandzadeh were teammates in Cincinnati for six seasons and both had their greatest NFL success when they were together.

A source told ESPN.com's John Clayton that Houshmandzadeh accepted a one-year, $910,000 deal after Palmer encouraged the Raiders to look at the veteran wideout. (MORE>>>)

NFL Football: Andre Johnson to sit again Sunday

The Houston Texans have decided that wide receiver Andre Johnson won't play Sunday.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak said the organization decided Friday morning before practice that Johnson, despite making progress on his injured right hamstring this week, will miss his fourth consecutive game.(MORE>>>)

NFL Football: T.O. works out, with no teams in attendance

NFL Network carried Terrell Owens‘ workout live on Tuesday afternoon, and Owens had better hope some NFL front office personnel were watching, because no teams were there.

Linday Soto was live on the scene and reported that no teams were confirmed to be in attendance, and that there wasn’t a single team’s scout in the area “unless somebody snuck in and isn’t wearing team gear.” The workout took place on a high school field in Calabasas, California, and the stands were empty.
