2010 NFL Mock Draft  (All 32 Picks) Updated for 02/03/2010:

 International Response Fund

1.)Rams (1-15):     DL Ndamukong Suh- Nebraska

Team Needs:  QB, DT, OG, CB, DE

NOTE: Even though we do like Jimmy Clausen's potential, neither him or Sam Bradford good enough prospects to be drafted over probably the best player in this draft. If the Rams want a QB that bad, then they should trade down and let another team come up and get Suh then draft one of those QB's. Steve Spagnuolo is a defensive minded guy, so the Rams will try to build up a dominating defense and the one thing you need to build a dominating defense is a good Defensive Line. Suh lined up next to a healthy Adam Carriker and Chris Long could give the Rams one of the best young Defensive Lines in the NFL, Suh and Carriker nonstop motors together on the inside could give opposing teams massive problems and would also free up Chris Long on the outside.

2.)cwuyv0w15ruuk34j9qnfuoif9.gifLions (2-14):     DT Gerald McCoy- Oklahoma

Team Needs:  DT, LT, S, CB, OG, WR

NOTE:  Lions need help on the line on both sides of the ball. Gerald McCoy is a very disruptive Defensive Tackle, he probably won't put up big numbers as far as stats goes but his quickness off the ball and great motor could really help the Lions entire defense. Lions also need a Franchise Tackle to protect their young QB, Jeff Backus was SOLID this past season so they may try to upgrade the offensive line in the later rounds or via free agency.

3.)Buccaneers (3-13):     DE Derrick Morgan- Georgia Tech

Team Needs:  DT, DE, WR, S, CB, OL

NOTE:  Unfortunately the late Gaines Adams didn't work out with the Bucs so they traded him to the Bears and that left the Bucs very thin on the defensive line. Eric Berry is a great player and it would be so difficult to pass up on him but he is just not that big of a need for the Buccaneers right now. Bucs already have two young Safeties with good potential in Sabby Piscitelli and Tanard Jackson, sure they could draft Eric Berry and play him at CB to replace a older Ronde Barber, but a talented secondary is useless if you don't have a good Pass Rush!

Derrick Morgan is a complete defensive end, not only is he a good pass rusher but he is also very strong against the run, yeah ok some have jumped off the bandwagon a little because he struggled in the Orange Bowl, but being shut down by Iowa's Left Tackle Bryan Bulaga is nothing to be embarrassed about.

4.)im5xz2q9bjbg44xep08bf5czq.gifWashington (4-12):   OT Russell Okung- Oklahoma St

Team Needs:  QB, OT, LB, RB, OG

NOTE:  Seems like everyone is so busy pointing fingers at Jason Campbell, they are overlooking the real problem with Washington's offense which is the OFFENSIVE LINE. Mike Shanahan will be looking to win right away, so either he will stay with Jason Campbell (which probably won't be the popular choice) or maybe they will sign or trade for another VETERAN QB. What difference would a Rookie QB make behind that HORRIBLE offensive line??? NONE! In fact most young QB's become bust players when they spend their first 2-3 seasons behind a bad offensive line running for their lives (David Carr comes to mind), while young QB's who comes into the NFL and work behind a good line (Mark Sanchez, Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan) are able to be somewhat productive right away.

The fact that Jason Campbell has spoken to Mike Shanahan is a good sign that they might be thinking about bring him back, but that does not mean the Redskins won't draft a young QB to come in and compete, but instead of taking one with this pick, they will probably try to find a steal in the 2nd or 3rd Round (Jevan Snead, Tony Pike, Colt McCoy). Russell Okung is a player that can step in right away and make a difference on that horrible offensive line either at Left Tackle or Right Tackle, he is a lot like a guy Mike Shanahan drafted when he was with the Broncos...Pro Bowl Tackle Ryan Clady.

5.)Chiefs (4-12):     DB Eric Berry- Tennessee

Team Needs:  OT, WR, S, DE/LB, DT/NT

  •

  • NOTE:  CB Brandon Flowers end up being a steal for the Chiefs as many expected despite his poor 40 Time last year before the draft, but the Chiefs still need a lot of help in the secondary. Eric Berry is a player that can come in and make the same impact Flowers did as a Rookie but maybe a even bigger impact. Berry has to the talent to be either a Pro Bowl Cornerback or Safety.

  •

  • 6.)4hs1qlskl7vpbx0agyqe7zbbe.gifSeahawks (5-11):     QB Jimmy Clausen- Notre Dame

  •

  • Team Needs:  RB, QB, LT, DL, S, OG

  •

  • NOTE:   Pete Carroll knows Clausen very well, not only did he recruit Clausen coming out of high school but while at USC, he also had the chance to watch Clausen against his defenses for the last 2-3 years. Clausen is similar to Mark Sanchez, he is a very confident young QB and in the right situation we think Clausen could make a similar impact as a rookie like Sanchez. Seahawks could just go with with Hasselbeck one more year and let Clausen sit and learn, or they could go a totally different direct with this pick and add a Left Tackle to replace Walter Jones.

  • 7.)Browns (5-11):     CB Joe Haden- Florida

  •

  • Team Needs:   S, DE/LB, CB, WR, LB, TE, OT

  •

  • NOTE:   Browns need a lot of help in the secondary, other then CB Eric Wright, they really don't have much playmakers in the secondary, then again you can't trade away Leigh Bodden, then allow Sean Jones sign with the Eagles and expect the secondary to be any good, especially when they didn't really make much of an effort to replace them. Same on offense, how can anyone expect the offense to be any good when they traded away both of their playmakers (Winslow and Edwards) on offense. Getting Mike Holmgren as the new GM should help a little but Holmgren track record when it comes to drafting is not all that great either.

Joe Haden is a very good CB, he is a player that can come in and help that weak secondary right away, he probably won't develop into a SHUT DOWN CB but he is still a very good young CB.

  • 8.)951.gifRaiders (5-11):     LB Rolando McClain- Alabama

  •

  • Team Needs:  OT, DT, LB, OG, CB

  •

  • NOTE:  Raiders defense need leadership and toughness! Kirk Morrison is a solid MLB but he doesn't make enough plays and he as well as Thomas Howard, both struggle against the run at times. Not having a run stopping Defensive Tackle that can take on double teams and keep pulling guards off of the LB's, could be the real reason why they struggle. McClain is a natural leader and a student on the game, having him at MLB leading your defense is like having a Defensive Coordinator as the MLB for the defense because he is a true student of the game and studies a lot of film, he is also very good against the run, something the Raiders REALLY NEED.

  •

  • 9.)338.gifBills (6-10):    QB Sam Bradford- Oklahoma

  • Team Needs:   LT, QB, WR, LB, DT

  •

  • NOTE:  Trading for Michael Vick is very possible but if they don't trade for Vick, then they could go for either Clausen or Bradford if one of them falls to this pick. The Bills will also be looking for a franchise Left Tackle, they are still searching for a replacement for Jason Peters but adding another young offensive lineman to a line that is already very young makes absolutely no sense. They just spent an entire season rotating rookies and young players like: Jamon Meredith, Eric Wood, Andy Levitre and Demetrius Bell on that offensive line, they would be better off adding some veteran leadership to that group instead of another young lineman.

  •

  • 10.)604.gifJags (7-9):     DT Brian Price- UCLA

  •

  • Team Needs:    DE, S, DT, OG, C, WR

  •

  • NOTE:  We just don't believe this organization is that desperate enough to Draft Tim Tebow this high when they probably can address more important needs with this pick, then still draft Tebow in the 2nd or 3rd Round. Jags need help inside on that defensive line, with more help inside like maybe adding another dominating Defensive Tackle next to John Henderson, that will then allow those young pass rushers like Derrick Harvey and Quentin Groves to generate more of a pass rush. Lets be honest, this Defensive Line hasn't been the same since they traded Marcus Stroud to the Bills. Brian Price will be considered a reach to most RIGHT NOW, but after all the work outs leading up to the draft and after scouts watch more film on him, he will shoot right up on many draft boards, he is a very dominating DT that unfortunately played on some bad teams during his college career so he is very underrated and overlooked.
