Final Mock Draft  Round 1-2 !!!

Round 1 Mock Draft Update: 04/24/04

1.) Trade? New York Giants  (4-12)
Team Needs: Trade Down! QB, OL, DL, LB, S, WR,

Pick:  QB Eli Manning- Ole Miss, 6-4 221, 40 yrd Time:-(Official)
Alternatives:
Trade Down!, OT Robert Gallery, WR Larry Fitzgerald        Note: (New rumored deal for this pick: Giants would give up the #4 Pick, a 3rd Round pick, WR Ike Hillard and a future 2nd Round Pick. It is a pretty big deal but if GM Accorsi is that high on Eli then it might be worth it. If the Giants can move up and still keep their 2nd round pick, that would be a great move!)

Breaking new that Eli Manning agent has contacted the Chargers and told them that Eli has no interested in playing for the Chargers according to ESPN. This could be good news for the Giants and could force the Chargers to either bring down their asking price a little or go with Robert Gallery. The Giants will have to give up no less then their 1st and 2nd round pick to move up to the #1 Pick.)

(The Redskins official contacted the Chargers about this pick, if the Redskins are offering OT Chris Samuels & the #5 pick as rumored, then the Chargers should really consider it because Samuels would address one of their many needs and they would still stay in position to draft Roethlisberger or Philip Rivers.)

(Looks like all trades are off for now and the Chargers might be force to keep the pick because their asking price is to high. Things could always change on draft day!)

(Latest Rumored Deals involving the Chargers and the Giants for this Pick: One Rumor has the Giants sending the #4 Pick, Ike Hilliard and a 2nd Round Pick, either this years 2nd Round or 2005 2nd Round Pick. Other Rumored Deal: The Giants would send Kerry Collins, the #4 Pick and a 2nd Round Pick this year or 2005 also.)

(Robert Gallery would still be in the mix if the Giants trade up, but if anyone knows Ernie Accorsi then you know how high he values the QB position, it has been said that before he steps down as the Giants GM, he would like to leave the Giants with a Franchise QB for the future in place.)

(Talks have reportedly picked up again between the Giants and Chargers for this pick, no rumored deal as of yet but this could explain why the Giants made all these veteran signings with in the last 48 hours (Signed: OT Ed Ellis, DE Lorenzo Bromell & DT Norman Hand.), nothing official but it is a deal that could happen, Kerry Collins could be part of the deal if the Giants are not willing to trade other high picks.)

(Look like the Chargers could keep this pick which would be the best move.) (The Giants are also trying to trade up to get Eli Manning, rumored that they are offering Kerry Collins and #4 for this pick, Strahan name has came up but not likely!) (It is clear that not even the Charger know what they will do as it stands right now, they could be looking to trade down for the right deal, the Browns is said to be one team trying very hard to get in position to take Gallery, (rumored deal Tim Couch, Dennis Northcutt and the 7th Pick) if the Chargers keep the pick then they have to go with Eli Manning, all the recent talk of Fitzgerald could be a smoke screen to force someone to trade up, passing on a Franchise QB for a WR just does not sound right but a Franchise LT like Gallery could make sense.)

2.) Trade? Cleveland Browns  (5-11)
Team Needs: Trade Up! TE, OL, CB, S, DT
Pick:  OT Robert Gallery- Iowa, 6-7 323, 40 yrd Time: 4.9 (Official)
Alternatives:
WR Larry Fitzgerald, WR Mike Williams, QB Eli Manning
Note: (The Raiders will either draft Gallery or Trade down and allow anothr team to draft Gallery and go for Roy Williams, either way Gallery will not pass this pick.)

(If the Browns can't get in position to get Gallery, then the Back up plan could be to trade with the Giants at #4 and go after TE and Butch Davis former recruit at Miami, Kellen Winslow Jr.) (The Redskins are still trying to trade up as well so the Raiders are sitting in the driver seat with this pick, if the Raiders can get OT Samuels from the Redskins and still stay in position at #5 to get Roy or Mike Williams, they could really consider it.)

(Gallery is pretty much a lock to go #2, but still not sure what team will be selecting him. Gallery could end up either a Brown, Redskin or a Raider...)

(If the Browns can get the Picks they want from trading Tim Couch (2nd or 3rd Round Pick) and Dennis Northcutt (2nd or 3rd Round Pick), that would put the Browns in a great position to move up. Also for the Raiders, trading down would give them the extra picks they need to complete a trade for Corey Dillion who they are still interested in, especially with RB Justin Fargas coming off of a knee injury in 2003.)

(The Redskins are rumored to also be interested in this pick were they would use OT Samuels and the 5th pick to move up but this report has been denied, Samuels does have a big price tag and is currently not willing to renegotiate.)

(Another rumor is that the Browns have contacted the Raiders about this pick! If the Raiders are not interested in Gallery then they could cash in big with a trade down, the Browns are very interested and might be willing to overpay for this pick, the Raiders would still be able to get Roy or Mike Williams at 7, trading down would be a very wise move for Al Davis if he does not have interest in Gallery.)

 3.) Arizona Cardinals (4-12)
Team Needs: WR, QB, DL, LB,
Pick
:  WR Larry Fitzgerald- Pitts, 6-3 225, 40 yrd Time: 4.5  (Official)
Alternatives:
QB Ben Roethlisberger, WR Mike Williams, S Sean Taylor
Note: (If Fitzgerald is drafted by the Raiders at 2 then the Cards will trade down, the Browns should probably wait until draft day before they make a move.) (Larry Fitzgerald Recently held his private work out and ran a very good 4.47 40 yard dash, his speed probably would not have effected his draft status but running a good 40 could push him up to the 1st or 2nd pick.) (The Cards could still go with Ben Roethlisberger but if Fitzgerald is still on the board then he is the pick, Dennis Green already knowing Fitzgerald makes this pick a very safe one.)

4.) Trade? San Diego Chargers  (4-12)
Team Needs:  Trade Up! OT, QB, FS, LB, DL Depth, FB, K
Pick
: Trade! Pick: QB Philip Rivers- NC State, 6-4 229, 40 Time: -  (Official)
Alternatives:
QB Ben Roethlisberger, QB Philip Rivers, Trade Down!
Note: (The Chargers are very high on Philip Rivers and could either trade down again and draft him, or draft him here at #4 if they trade down with the Giants.)

(The Giants are still interested in trading up for Manning, but if they are not able to do so then they could trade down a few spots and take Rivers or Roethlisberger or stay at #4 and go with Taylor. The Giants would have to give up atleast their 1st and 2nd round pick to move up to #1.)

(This is were things are starting to get very cloudy, are the Giants really that high on Roethlisberger? Maybe, but them trying to trade up for Eli Manning make you wonder if they really are. Sean Taylor has been a forgotten man with this pick, but the Giants could probably use him even more then a QB especially if you are looking for instant impact from your #1 pick. Gallery will be gone, and Roethlisberger, despite his huge upside, could be to much of a risk at #4 and is slipping a little. Sean Taylor could be the second most sure thing in this draft behind Gallery, Accosi could make it 3 years in a row in drafting a Miami Player! A Trade down to then take Roethlisberger is still possible, new rumors has the Giants trading with the Browns at #7 if the Browns can't get in position to draft Gallery. The Browns would then draft Winslow!)

(The Giants are not willing to over pay for the #1 pick so they will likely stay at the #4 pick and draft Roethlisberger, which probably is the best move. Sean Taylor is also possible as is QB Philip Rivers!)

(If this trade does happen the Chargers would be looking to draft Ben Roethlisberger or Gallery who they are very high on, it was also rumored a few weeks ago that the Chargers could trade back twice, once with the Giants then again with the Browns and still get Roethlisberger at 7 which is very possible! Another possibility is the Chargers trading down from here to the Steelers pick and taking Philip Rivers at 11 instead of Roethlisberger here at 4, again these are all rumors as of now!)

(Giants are looking for a QB for the future that is very clear now but which one will they get is the question, they want to trade up for Manning but they are not willing to give up much, the best move could be to stay at 4 and take Roethlisberger, if Gallery is still on the board then they could trade down with the Brown and get extra picks and still get Roethlisberger at 7.) (The Giants should really consider trading down with the Browns if they decide to pass on Gallery and go for a QB, if Gallery is still on the board, the Giants would still be able to get Ben Roethlisberger at 7 and also get extra picks!)

(After Roethlisberger recent work out he could now be the #1 player on the Giants board if they can't work out a deal for the #1 pick, GM Ernie Accorsi has always been high on Roethlisberger!) (The Giants are working hard to come up with a deal for the #1 pick but they are not willing to give up that much, some veteran players could be involved, rumored names: Kerry Collins or Michael Strahan??? don't think so!) (Could also be looking for a trade up, the Giants could be force to take a QB because Kerry Collins still does not have an extention in place meaning he would be a FA after the 2004 season, if they can't come up with a deal for the #1 pick to get Eli Manning then they could go with Roethlisberger who Accorsi likes just as much as Eli Manning. The OL would still have a huge hole at RT but they could always draft a player like OT Jacob Rogers in the second round. If the Giants do go with Gallery in the first round then QB's: J.P. Losman or Matt Schaub could be their pick in he second round.)

 5.) Washington Redskins  5-11
Team Needs: S, TE, Trade Down, DL, LB
Pick
: S Sean Taylor- Miami, 6-2 230, 40 yrd Time: 4.5 (Official)
Alternatives:
TE Kellen Winslow, DT Tommie Harris, DE Kenechi Udeze, Note: (This pick should come down to Taylor or Winslow Jr! With the recent cut of TE Chamberlain, Winslow is in the lead!) (Sean Taylor would stabilize a revamped secondary with his playmaking ability, Taylor is the best player in this draft and will have the biggest impact as a rookie, some will say drafting a Safety this high is a risk but not with a player like Taylor, you are not just getting a Safety, you are getting a player that can take over a game on defense. After having a great work out, Tommie Harris also is still in the picture, he and newly signed DT Griffin would make a great Combination but the Redskins will also get DT Brandon Noble back next season who they considered a good signing last off season, also despite the signing of DE Phillips Daniels, Kenechi Udeze could also be the pick as well!) (The Pat's want Sean Taylor and might be willing to package both #1's or one of the first round picks and both #2's for this pick were they would then draft Taylor, Belichek has mention that he thinks Sean Taylor is the best player in this draft!)

 6.) Detroit Lions  (5-11)
Team Needs: RB, S, TE, DL Depth, WR Depth
Pick
: TE Kellen Winslow- Miami, 6-3 251, 40 yrd Time: 4.5 (Official)
Alternatives:
Trade Down !, RB Steven Jackson, S Sean Taylor,
Note: (Jackson is quickly becoming the most wanted player in this draft so the Lions will be force to draft Jackson this high, or allow another team like the Broncos to trade up and get him. Unless Winslow is available, the Lion will likely go with Steven Jackson or Trade Down.)

(The Lions are also very high on Winslow also but it looks like he will not be availble now, the Lions could reach for Steven Jackson or if Sean Taylor is still on the board draft him or trade down. Rumored that a 3 way deal for this pick could be in the works involving the Lions, Pats and Bucs, see: http://www.lionsfans.com/ for more info.) Also looks like the Lions could be close to trading for Jags SS Donovain Darius!)

(If Taylor is still on the Board they could either draft him, which is not likely since they just signed veteran FS Brock Marion or as rumored, trade this pick to the Texans were they would then draft Taylor, at 10 the Lions could still get Winslow especially if the Browns trade up for Gallery or the Lions could go with RB Steven Jackson.) ( Many would consider Steven Jackson a reach with this pick but he is a Franchise RB which the Lion have been looking for since Barry Sanders Retired. Jackson had a good enough work out (4.5 Speed Official!) to be the pick but this is still to high, Lions will probably trade down, one rumor is a trade with Pats if Sean Taylor is still on the board at 6, there is a chance that Jackson could still be available at 21 since most teams addressed RB needs threw FA, the only team that would probably draft Jackson is the Buc's at 15 even with the signing of Charlie Garner.) (Signing WR Tai Streets was a good pick up and allows them to address more important needs.)

 7.) Oakland Raiders (4-12)
Team Needs: WR, QB, DL: DE & DT, S, LB
Pick: WR Roy Williams- Texas,  6-2  212, 40 Time: 4.4 (Official)
Alternatives: TE Kellen Winslow, OT Shawn Andrews , S Sean Taylor
Note: (The Browns will have to give up a pretty big package for the #2 pick especially when dealing with Al Davis because he will ask for a lot, but the reward would be a franchise LT for the next 10 years.)

(Gallery will not fall this far but this will probably be the team that gets him, they will continue to try and work out a deal to trade up, they have contacted everyone in the top 5, the Giants at 4 make sense especially if the Giants want Roethlisberger over Gallery also the Cards is possible!) (With all the recent impressive work outs by other top prospects some will fall just a little in the draft, the Browns would be lucky if Gallery would be available at this pick but not likely.) (New rumor has the Browns trading Tim Couch to the Packers for a draft pick, maybe a new start for Couch could be a good thing, he would be able to sit behind Brett for a few years and learn from one of the best.) (If Gallery is gone then Andrews coulf be the pick! Many would consider this a reach but if you watch Andrews on film it is not, Andrews is dominating and is even more dominating then Gallery when it comes to run blocking, it is said that Offensive Coordinator Terry Robiskie wants an offense that features a "Power Running Game" then this is your man! After watching Andrews dominate guys like: David Pollack, Antwan Odom, Marquise Hill, Marcus Spears, Bobby McCray and other top DE's in the SEC, if he can keep his weight in check he will be a force at RT and if he can get his weight down which he has done, he has the foot work to play LT if needed.) (Andrews also has a Pro Day Work Out coming up soon, if he shows the scouts he is in shape he will go this high.) (The Browns have been contacting everyone in the Top 5, latest rumored offers to move up: 1.) The would package Tim Couch, Dennis Northcutt and #7 to the Chargers for the #1 pick were they would then take Gallery, 2.) recent rumored deal is an offer of RB William Green and #7 to the Raiders for the #2 pick. They will continue to try and get into the Top 5 to draft Robert Gallery!)

 8.) Atlanta Falcons  (5-11)
Team Needs: DL, CB, OG, WR                                                                                      Pick: CB DeAngelo Hall- Virginia Tech,  5-10 202, 40 Time: 4.3 (Official)
Alternatives:
WR Mike Williams, WR Roy Williams, DT Tommie Harris
Note: (Hall would provide a lot of speed to the Falcons secondary, he is a playmaker at CB and Returning Kicks, this would have been considered a reach a few weeks ago but after all the great work outs, some player are starting to push up the board quickly.) (With the signing of WR Dez White, Roy Williams or any other WR is no longer an option with this pick! It should come down to another DT or CB, DeAngelo Hall name is starting to come up a lot with this pick!!)     (Underrated DT Roderick Coleman was a great pick up for the DL but they are switching to a 4-3 and the Falcons could also use another DT, Ed Jasper is solid but the Falcons can use more upgrade on the DL and Harris would be a perfect fit. Harris had a great Pro Day Work out and should be a top 10 pick, the Falcons could go with a Playmaker like Roy Williams on Offense which is also a need but  you cannot give up on Price that quick, he is a playmaker but with the bad QB play for most of the season when Vick was out, he was unable to contribute like he wanted or the Falcons fans wanted him to.)

 9.) Jacksonville Jags  (5-11)
Team Needs:  DE, WR, LB, CB Depth,
Pick
: DE Kenechi Udeze- USC, 6-3 281, 40 yrd Time: 4.8 (Official)
Alternatives:
TE Kellen Winslow, OT Robert Gallery, CB DeAngelo Hall
Note: (Udeze should injury is nothing serious, he should still be the Jags pick.)

(Some may feel that his 40 time at 4.8 was nothing great but you do not evaluate a player just on a work out, he had 16.5 sacks and he never ran 40 yrds to get any of them! No DE not even Will Smith is as complete of a player as Udeze, passing on him because of a 40 time would be a huge mistake similar to passing on Terrell Suggs in 2003!) Kenechi Udeze is a Michael Strahan Clone, he dominates against the Run as well as Pass Rushing, yes WR is a need but a complete DE like Udeze you never pass on. Douglass is on the downside of his career and Brackens was cut so Udeze is bigger need.) (Kenechi to go with the 2 stud DT's in the middle (Henderson and Stroud) would give the Jag's an excellent DL.)

 10.) Houston Texans  (6-10)
Team Needs:  S, OG, OLB, CB, DL Depth
Pick
: CB Dunta Robinson- S. Car., 6-0 200  40 Time: 4.3 (Official)
Alternatives:
CB Dunta Robinson, DT Randy Starks, LB Jonathan Vilma
Note: (Dunta Robinson is rising very fast, he is a very good CB and Scouts love speed, with his 4.3 speed he has jumped from a 2nd round pick all the way to no worse then the middle of 1st round, what gives him the edge is that he is Faster then Chris Gamble and he is bigger then DeAngelo Hall who is official listed at 5-10.) (Dunta Robinson is very similar to Charles Tillman, he has the size, speed and coverage skills to contribute right away.)

(Robaire Smith nor veteran Gary Walker has the pass rushing ability of Smith or Udeze and none of them are considered true DE's so they will probably move one of them to NT or rotate Smith with Gary Walker who is not getting younger. Either way after looking at the teams sack total, they need all the help they can get with their pass rush. Smith, with that 4.58 speed, could be used as a 2 stands rush LB and a 3 stands DE on 3rd downs, similar to former Buckeye and current Pats LB/DE Mike Vrabel.)

(The Texans addressed there important needs threw FA and so they could go with best player available, DT Payne is  good and Junior Ioane is a nice back up but Vilfork would give them a Dominator in the middle of that DL which now includes Robaire Smith.) CB could be the pick also or if somehow Sean Taylor would fall to them they would take him.)

 11.) Pittsburgh Steelerss  (6-10)
Team Needs:  QB, CB, DL, RB
Pick
: QB Ben Roethlisberger- Miami (OH), 6-4 241, 40 yrd Time: 4.8 (Official)
Alternatives:
CB Dunta Robinson, QB Philip Rivers, RB Steven Jackson    Note: (The Steelers will keep their fingers crossed and hope some how that Roethlisberger falls to #11, if not then QB Philip Rivers would be the pick.)

(Shawn Andrews could really be considered, the Steelers need a QB for the future but the OL did not help Maddox much in 2003.) (Steelers are hoping that Ben Roethlisberger falls this far but that will not happen after the great work out he just had, Rivers would be an outstanding pick and would be able to play right away because of his full college experience.)

 12.) New York Jets  (6-10)
Team Needs:  CB, OL, LB, S, DL Depth
Pick
: LB Jonathan Vilma- Miami 6-0 233,  40 Time:  4.6  (Official)
Alternatives:
CB DeAngelo Hall, LB Jonathan Vilma, OT S. Andrews
Note: (

 13.) Buffalo Bills  (6-10)
Team Needs:  WR, TE, DE, OL
Pick
: DE Will Smith 6-3 275- Ohio St., 40 yrd Time: 4.6 (Official)
Alternatives:
WR Mike Williams, WR Reggie Williams, Trade Down
Note: (If QB Philip Rivers is still on the board at 13, it is a very good chance that the Bills would draft him! Since Roy Williams will not be available at this pick, the Bills can look at other needs, even though DE might not be that big of a need, Will Smith could be an upgrade over Schobal or Denny who are both young talented players, but Smith speed could be to valuable to pass up.)

(If Roy Williams is still on the board he would be to talented to pass up.) QB is possible if Rivers is still on the board!) (Only because Mike Williams has yet to worked out is the reason why he is this low, this will change if Williams can atleast run a 4.5 at 6-4 230lbs. and turn in a solid work out.) (With his recent work out, Roy Williams will go higher!) (The Bills could easily go with Will Smith but again the problem in 2003 was the lack of another playmaker on offense not the D, the Bills defense was one of the top units in 2003 and there DE's: Ryan Denny and Aaron Schoebel are both very young with good potential, they also drafted Chris Kelsay in last years draft (Correction The Bills Runs A 4-3 D not a 3-4, thanks for the correction!). Roy Williams would give the Bills offense another weapon and he would also provide the speed that Bobby Shaw and Josh Reed could not provide, if Roy Williams is still on the board he would be to talented to pass up!)

 14.) Chicago Bears  (7-9)
Team Needs:  DT, LB, OT, WR, RB
Pick
:  DT Tommie Harris- Okla., 6-2 293, 40 yrd Time: 4.7 (Official)
Alternatives:
DT Vince Wilfork, CB Chris Gamble, LB Jonathan Vilma
Note: (Harris falling has nothing to do with his performance because he could still go as high as #5 to the Redskins but with other prospect rising up the board some will fall.) (Harris would be a perfect fit for Lovie Smith Cover 2 Defense!)

 15.) Tampa Bay Bucs  (7-9)
Team Needs:  RB, S, WR, DL Depth
Pick
:  LB DJ Williams- Miami 6-1 242, 40 Time: 4.5 (Official)
Alternatives:
WR Reggie Williams, RB Kevin Jones,  LB Jonathan Vilma
Note: (With Mike Williams out of the draft for now, Lee Evans and other WR's will now jump up many boards!)

(Latest rumor is that the Buc's will load up on LB's so DJ Williams or Jon Vilma who both already have experience in a Cover 2 D are perfect fit! Vilma might be a better fit, he is very similar to Nate Webster who the Buc's lost to the Bengals in FA.)(Even with the signing of Charlie Garner, Jamel White and Brandon Bennett, Steven Jackson is a franchise RB with all the skills John Gruden looks for in a RB especially catching the ball out of the back field.)

16.) San Francisco 49ers  (7-9)
Team Needs:  WR, DT, OG, DE
Pick
: WR Reggie Williams- Washington,  6-3 225, 40 Time: 4.5 (Official)
Alternatives:
WR Michael Clayton, DT Randy Starks,  OG Vernon Carey
Note: (The 49ers will miss out on Reggie Williams if Mike Williams is not in the draft.)

(Reggie Williams is a T.O. clone on the field, he is a playmaker after the catch and could be the most complete WR in this draft.)

 17.) Denver Broncos  (10-6)
Team Needs:  CB, DT, OG, S
Pick
: RB Steven Jackson- Oregon St., 6-1 241, 40 Time: 4.5  (Official)
Alternatives:
LB DJ Williams, DT Randy Starks,  OG Vernon Carey
Note: (Official Trade! The Denver Broncos have traded Pro Bowl CB Deltha O'Neal and their 2004 first- (No. 24 overall) and fourth-round (No. 117 overall) picks to the Cincinnati Bengals In exchange, the Broncos receive the Bengals' 2004 first-round pick (No. 17 overall).

Broncos moving up puts them in a better position to draft higher rated prospect, still not clear what they will do but LB is possible since they will not bring back Ian Gold. Even with the signing of a few veterans at DT they still can use a good young stud DT for the future. Steven Jackson could also be considered with this pick!)

 18.) New Orleans Saints  (8-8)
Team Needs:  CB, LB, FB, DL Depth
Pick
: CB Chris Gamble- Ohio St. 6-1 200, 40 Time: 4.5 (Unofficial)
Alternatives:
LB DJ Williams, CB Dunta Robinson, LB Jonathan Vilma
Note: (His recent 40 Time 4.5 is starting to leave Scouts with questions, Gamble will run again but untill then he will fall a little on most boards.) (Gamble despite not running to well in the 40 is still a playmaker and the Saints needs a shut down CB that can make plays. Gamble is also a dangerous return man!)

 19.) Minnesota Vikings  (9-7)
Team Needs:  DE, LB, WR Depth,
Pick
: OL Vernon Carey- Miami, 6-4 335,  40 yrd Time: 5.2  (Official)
Alternatives:
DE Antwan Odom, Trade Down,  LB Jonathan Vilma     Note: (Vernon Carey is also possible and would be an upgrade over an aging 35 years old David Dixon.)

(Instead of reaching for a DE, the Viks could go with a LB like Jon Vilma or DJ Williams if available.) (Will Smith will likely go higher!)

20.) Miami Dolphins  (10-6)
Team Needs:  OG, LB, DT,
Pick
: OT Shawn Andrews Ark., 6-4 345, 40 yrd Time: 5.2  (Official)
Alternatives:
,WR Lee Evans,  DT Randy Starks, LB Jonathan Vilma
Note: (The Dolphins did not bring in veteran OT Greg Randall so OL is still the top Priority!)

(The Dolphins could sign Veteran OT Greg Randall, if that happens then they would focus on another position like a LB to replace Seau.)

(The Dolphins was unable to sign Cosey Coleman so they still have a huge hole at RG, Andrews would be steal at this pick even though he is considered an OT prospect, Andrews similar to Leonard Davis could be a dominating OG or with McIntosh coming off of a serious Ankle injury the Dolphins could move him inside and go with Andrews at RT. (Vernon Carey would also be considered and would be able to start right away at RG and he would also provide depth because he can also play OT, Carey has been rising up the board lately.)(Andrews did it! He got his weight down to 345 lbs. and impressed the scouts with his footwork and his speed running a 5.2 which is outstanding for a man his size, this should get him back into the Top 10 officially depending on were Gallery goes, if Cleveland can't get Gallery then Andrews could be the Browns pick, great job by Andrews for putting in the hard work and getting it done!!!)

21.) N.E. Patriots (10-6)
Team Needs:  RB, LB, FS, DT, OL
Pick
:  DT Vince Wilfork- Miami, 6-1 323, 40 yrd Time: 5.0 (Official)
Alternatives:
LB Karlos Dansby, OL Vernon Carey, OT Shawn Andrews
Note: (Wilfork would be a perfect 3-4 NT and would eventually replace Traylor in a year or 2. )

The Pats are still interested in trading up for Sean Taylor, a potential 3 way deal has been rumored (See Lions Pick Above). Now that the Pats have Corey Dillion in the Backfield, they will work on other needs.)

22.) Dallas Cowboys  (10-6)
Team Needs:  RB, DT, OL: RT
Pick
: RB Kevin Jones- VA Tech, 6-0 227  40 Time: 4.6 (Official)
Alternatives:
DT Vince Wilfork, RB Chris Perry, OT Shawn Andrews
Note: (The Cowboys could still try and address the RT position with this pick but Jones even though he did not have a great workout is still a solid prospect, and although he is not the big "Work Horse RB" that Parcells like, he would still be an upgrade over any other Cowboys RB's currently on the roster.)

 23.) Seattle Seahawks  (10-6)
Team Needs:  LB, DT, DE Depth, CB Depth, FS
Pick
: DT Randy Starks- Maryland, 6-3 314  40 Time: -  (Official)
Alternatives:
LB DJ Williams, LB Karlos Dansby, DT Darnell Dockett
Note: (If Wilfork falls this far then the Seahawks would be getting a huge steal, with other prospects rising, some will fall. Starks would also be a great fit if Wilfork is not available.)

(The Seahawks are looking for help at DT and with all the other top prospect moving up, it is possible that Starks could still be available!)

(The Seahawks could use help at DT but the top DT's will be gone unless they trade up, Vilma would be a great LB to groom for the future to replace someone like Chad Brown.)

24.) Cincinnati Bengals  (8-8)

Team Needs:  TE, RB, DE, DT, CB Depth, S
Pick
: DT Darnell Dockett- FSU, 6-3 297, 40 Time: 4.9(Official)
Alternatives:
DT Darnell Dockett, CB Will Poole, CB Ahmad Carroll
Note: (The Bengals will bring in Gardener so they could focus on other needs with this pick, but Gardener has has injury problems so drafting Darnell Dockett for the future might me the best move.)

(The Bengals addressed the CB position by aquiring Deltha O'Neil so they can focus on finding a stud DT in the middle of that DL. Dockett showed well at the Combine and good enough to be a first round pick with 4.9 Speed at almost 300 lbs.)

25.) Green Bay Packers  (10-6)
Team Needs:  DE, QB (Future), DT, LB
Pick
: DE Antwan Odom- Alabama, 6-5 274, 40 Time: - (Official)
Alternatives:
QB J.P. Losman, LB Karlos Dansby,  DE Jason Babin
Note: (The Packers are still close to trading for Tim Couch, if that happens then Antwan Odom would be the pick and a good player to lineup on the other side of KGB.)

26.) St. Louis Rams  (12-4)
Team Needs:  CB, OG, DE, C, FS,
Pick
: TE Ben Troupe- Florida, 6-4 265  40 Time: 4.6 (Official)
Alternatives:
CB Derrick Strait, DE Jason Babin,  S Sean Jones
Note: (The Rams could use help at OG or Center and in the entire secondary on defense, TE Ben Watson, if Troupe is gone, is a great possibility here because of his speed: 4.46 40 yrd, Mike Martz loves speed and would really think about it.)

 27.) Tennesse Titans  (12-4)
Team Needs:  OL, WR, DT, LB
Pick
:  DT Marcus Tubbs- Texas, 6-3 318, 40 Time: 5.0 (Official)
Alternatives:
OG Vernon Carey, TE Ben Watson, DT Igor Olshanky
Note: (Tubbs is a big run stuff DT and would be an upgrade in talent over Rien Long.)

(The Titans could consider Jake Grove or a DT also but if Carey is still available then this pick would be a lock, the Titans are looking to upgrade an aging OL especially at OT.)

28.) Philadelphia Eagles  (12-4)
Team Needs:  LB, WR, DL Depth, RB Depth
Pick
: LB Karlos Dansby- Aub.,  6-2 246, 40 Time: 4.6 (Official)
Alternatives:
CB Derrick Strait, CB Ahmad Carroll, DB Matt Ware
Note: (Rumor has it that the Eagles are interested in RB Steven Jackson! They have contacted the 49ers about the #16 pick. Talk that the Eagles will load up on CB's in the draft but that could be later in the draft, Dansby would really help a run defense that stuggled last season especially in the playoffs.)

(Dansby would be a great replacement for SLB Carlos Emmons who signed with the rival Giants, Dhani Jones is a WLB not a SLB so he is not the answer, Dansby has a good combination of size, speed and quickness, he is up to 246 lbs which is heavier then his playing weight during the college season at 235 lbs.)

29.) Indianapolis Colts  (12-4)
Team Needs:  CB, DT, LB
Pick
: CB Derrick Strait- Okla.,  6-0 200,  40 Time: 4.4 (Official)
Alternatives:
DT Darnell Dockett, LB Jonathan Vilma, LB Karlos Dansby
Note: (Strait ability to come up a make tackles makes him a solid fit for a Cover 2 system.)

30.) K.C. Chiefs  (13-3)
Team Needs:  DL, LB, CB
Pick
:  WR Lee Evans- Wisconsin, 5-11 200, 40 Time: 4.4 (Official)
Alternatives:
LB Karlos Dansby, CB Ahmad Carroll, DT Igor Olshansky
Note: (Evans speed would be dangerous with this offense but the Cheifs could go for a  bigger WR or a CB to help a secondary that stuggled in the playoffs. DT is also possible: Tubbs, Olshansky or Donnell Washington! It has also been mention that the Chiefs are very high on Dansby, the name "Derrick Thomas" has been mention when talking about Dansby. Many scouts feel Dansby is going to be a great rush LB in the NFL.)

(Carroll speed would be a great addition to the Chiefs secondary, they could also use a lot of help on the DL but they would have to reach for a player with this pick to do that unless Antwan Odom or Randy Starks falls which is not likely. Chiefs could also use help at WR so prospects like Lee Evans, Michael Clayton and Rashaun Woods are all possible.)

31.) Carolina Panthers  (11-5)
Team Needs:  WR, CB, FS, LB Depth, OL Depth,
Pick
: Ahmad Carroll- Arkansas, 5-10 195, 40 Time: 4.3(Official)
Alternatives:
WR Rashaun Woods, WR Lee Evans, CB Will Poole
Note: (Batman Carroll is a playmaker at CB and would help a Panthers secondary that lost a lot of depth at CB this off season, losing Terry Cousin and Reggie Howard threw FA's. WR which is also a need, might be the best value at this pick because of the depth at that position.)

32.) New England Patriots  (14-2)
Team Needs:  Trade Up! RB, LB, FS, DT, OL
Pick
: OL Justin Smiley- Alabama, 6-3 298, 40 Time: 4.9 (Official)

Alternatives:  OG Chris Snee, LB Karlos Dansby,  CB Will Poole         Note: (The Pats could still trade up for Sean Taylor which has been rumored, if not then Safety Sean Jones could be considered with this pick, drafting Sean Jones or trading up for Sean Taylor would allow Wilson to move back to CB just incase Ty Law is traded or cut on June 1.)
